AUSTIN, TEXAS—One highlight of Womble Bond Dickinson’s involvement in the 2018 Association of Corporate Counsel Annual meeting will be Claire Rauscher’s participation in a compliance-related panel discussion.

Rauscher will speak as part of the “It’s Elemental: Develop an Industry-leading Compliance Program” discussion on Monday, Oct. 22.

There is no one-size-fits-all definition for an effective compliance program. Likewise, federal regulators aren’t always specific on what should be included. Rauscher and the other panelists will share their experiences on how compliance program elements may be defined and how they can be incorporated in a real-world setting. This session will address DOJ expectations and offer examples of effective compliance programs.

Rauscher will be joined in the panel discussion by:

  • J.R. Simplot Company Assistant General Counsel Timothy Callanan;
  • Accenture Federal Services Corporate Counsel Melanie Condron; and
  • Under Armour, Inc. Ethics & Compliance Officer Amy Much.

Womble Bond Dickinson is the long-time sponsor of the ACC Compliance & Ethics Committee.

The 2018 ACC Annual Meeting takes place Oct. 21-24 and is the world’s largest annual gathering of in-house counsel.

Claire Rauscher has more than 25 years of white collar criminal defense experience, having tried numerous cases, negotiated favorable resolutions and obtained dismissals. She represents companies in grand jury investigations and related enforcement proceedings as well as witnesses and individual targets. In addition, Claire leads corporate internal investigations and provides compliance guidance in such areas as the Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), anti-trust, government contracts, qui tam and false claims matters.
