Susan serves as a staff attorney in the firm’s General Counsel’s Office and advises attorneys and staff on ethics issues, conflicts of interest, and risk management. In this capacity, she helps the firm comply with its ethical responsibilities to clients.

Before law school, Susan worked as a paralegal at Brooks, Pierce, McLendon, Humphrey & Leonard, LLP, where she supported multiple practice areas. In 2004, she implemented the firm’s Litigation Support Department and led the department until enrolling in law school. During law school, she utilized her criminal justice education to serve as an intern at the Guilford County District Attorney’s Office.  Her vast eDiscovery and project management experience then led her to explore the legal services provider arena where she managed legal services delivery for a Fortune 500 Company.  She went on to develop her legal practice at a high-volume civil litigation law firm where she served large financial institutions across North Carolina, ensuring compliance with state law, federal regulations and CFPB Consent Orders.
