Stephanie is a managing associate in the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Team, specialising in property litigation.

She deals with all aspects of property litigation, including commercial landlord and tenant disputes such as the recovery of debts, business tenancy renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954, and general property contentious matters such as service charge, boundary and rights of way disputes. She also has experience of property insolvency matters.

Stephanie works with a variety of high profile clients (both landlords and tenants) including those in the retail, leisure and infrastructure sector, as well as a wide range of smaller commercial property clients.

Examples of recent experience include:

  • Dealing with non opposed lease renewals under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1954 and the property management work involved with this
  • Working for national infrastructure companies; including advising on a high value litigation matter concerning the liability for the costs of track diversion works undertaken by a statutory undertaker, dilapidation claims and other disputed property matters which concern, for example, liability for property damage and subsequent repair works
  • Handling disputes for unpaid invoices and contractual debts; including advising on the recovery of rental and service charge arrears
  • Handling litigation in the civil courts, for example; acting for landlord pub retailers in securing possession of commercial premises following various breaches of covenant and acting for an organic composting business in defending a claim brought against them for odour nuisance.
