
Rosanne is an experienced real estate lawyer with specialism in rural and agricultural land and estates. She has advised numerous landed estates, institutional lenders, companies, charities, trusts and individuals in relation to all aspects of rural property law including agricultural tenancies, contract and share farming agreements, mortgages, sporting and mineral rights, development sites, and strategic business and property management. She has a niche in rural property issues and has led on many transactions involving partnerships, overage and exclusivity agreements. She also has practical knowledge of commercial and rural affairs.
Rosanne is married to an organic dairy farmer farming nearly 1,000 acres processing, bottling and distributing their own organic products regionally in the North East. The business is operated from farms held on a combination of Agricultural Holdings Act Tenancies, Farm Business Tenancies and Share Farming Arrangements.
Rosanne is a member of the Agricultural Law Association and is currently a delegate on the Association's Advisory Board.
Rosanne has been identified in Chambers and Partners North East Agriculture & Rural Affairs Guide 2025 as an 'Associate to Watch'.

- On partnership restructuring in connection with a £5,000,000 family farming partnership retirement, land partition and associated lending work
- On all matters connected with Agricultural Holdings Act 1986 and Farm Business Tenancy Agreements, including succession applications, agreed surrenders and notices to quit
- On rural property matters connected to strategic land development transactions including agreements for surrender of agricultural tenancies and statutory compensation provisions, options and leases and pre-emption rights.
