Michael joined the firm's Property Litigation team in March 2016, having qualified the previous year at DAC Beachcroft. Since qualification and during his training, Michael has focussed on commercial dispute resolution and has experience of resolving matters through the courts, adjudication, negotiation and mediation. 

Michael now specialises in commercial property disputes and advises clients on all aspects of commercial property litigation including disputes regarding restrictive covenants, dilapidations, lease renewals, break notices, rights of light, adverse possession, trespass, recovery of arrears, title issues and interpretation of contracts.

Michael is a member of the Property Litigation Association and sits on the Junior Committee.

    Experience
    • Acting for both landlord and tenant clients on commercial lease renewal claims, including the issue of court proceedings
    • Advising clients on ways to bring leases and other property interests to an end including the preparation and service of break notices
    • Advising clients in relation to the recovery of debts including rent arrears, service charges and dilapidations
    • Advising clients on boundary disputes involving residential developers and large retailers.
