Ian is a qualified solicitor in the commercial/digital team at Womble Bond Dickinson, with six years' experience, having joined the firm in 2018.
Ian focuses on technology and data-related matters, though he also has extensive experience in general commercial workstreams, having gained valuable industry experience through a client secondment with an international retailer.
He has advised on a variety of IT, technology and data projects, including contracts for outsourcing, SaaS and software licensing. He also has expertise in data protection and privacy issues, such as privacy notices, cross border data transfers, data security concerns, and data subject rights requests. As well as this, Ian has a particular interest in the digitalisation of international trade, in the North East and further.
