Hetty specialises in the delivery of legal planning advice to clients in the private, public and third sectors. Her experience includes the provision of advice in relation to planning applications, planning agreements, highways infrastructure and commercial planning advice in relation to property acquisitions and investments related to residential development, affordable housing and commercial development projects. Hetty trained in the City, working both in the private and public sector. Following a career break, in which she project managed large scale cross boundary European funded education and training projects, she returned to legal practice in 2015 when she joined the firm.
Examples of experience include advising:
- Acting for local authority clients to provide drafting and negotiation of S106 planning agreements including bespoke drafting with regard to occupancy restrictions in relation to a holiday park
- General planning advice and negotiation of complex planning agreements on behalf of a private industry provider of affordable housing. Acting for the client in respect of the acquisition of sites and delivery of a bespoke affordable housing model through the planning consenting regimes. Negotiating with developers, local authorities and non-institutional funders
- Assisting with advice in relation to planning enforcement appeal, for insurance institution client
- Project management and legal support in relation to the negotiation of a complex suite of highways infrastructure legal documentation on behalf of the promoter for the delivery of an on shore wind farm scheme.
