Giles is a Corporate/Commercial solicitor in the Energy team at Womble Bond Dickinson, providing legal and regulatory advice to clients in the Oil & Gas and Renewables sectors.
Giles qualified into this team in September 2019, having trained at the firm. During his training, Giles gained a broad range of experience working with clients within the Energy, Technology and Financial Services sectors. This included a secondment to a blue chip technology company, during which Giles gained general corporate experience while also advising on various international supply chain and outsourcing matters.
Experience
Examples of experience include advising:
- Chrysaor on a range of UKCS transactions, including its $2.6 billion acquisition of ConocoPhillips' North Sea assets
- Serica Energy in relation to its acquisition of BP's North Sea assets in the Bruce, Keith and Rhum fields
- OMV in connection with gas transportation and processing arrangements for the Nawara pipeline project in Tunisia
- Noble Energy in relation to decommissioning and security arrangements resulting from the disposal of its North Sea portfolio.
