Fiona joined the firm as a trainee in 2011 and qualified as a solicitor in the wills, trusts and probate team in 2013. She was promoted to Associate in May 2017 and Managing Associate in November 2019 and qualified for the STEP Diploma in Trusts and Estates (England and Wales) in June 2017.
Fiona is building up her reputation as a trust and estates specialist, advising clients with substantial assets and complicated family relationships and using appropriate structures to pass wealth down the generations in a tax efficient and controlled matter. She acts for a wide variety of individuals, including business owners, elderly clients and lottery winners, covering a range of areas such as wills, trusts, lasting powers of attorney, advance decisions, inheritance tax planning, gift and statutory will applications in the Court of Protection, and other related matters.
Fiona balances technical expertise with the softer skills necessary to deal with difficult family situations and was included in eprivateclient's 2017 "Top 35 under 35" list of private client practitioners in the UK.
Fiona runs the firm's Leeds office social committee and is also a member of the Leeds graduate recruitment team.
