Debbie is a Senior Nurse Consultant who helps attorneys solve medical challenges in the course of litigation. Her strong analytic skills, diverse medical background, and over two decades of litigation experience allow her to analyze and quickly evaluate complex medical issues. Her experience includes over 20 years of medical analysis in personal injury and wrongful death litigation involving cases on behalf of R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Co. Debbie also implemented a standard process for analysis of diagnostic criteria in second-hand smoke personal injury cases. She is noted for her high standard of performance in all aspects of her role, including creativity in the development of customized work products such as the use of timelines to correlate symptoms, diagnoses, and treatment with fact witness testimony.

Debbie holds a Master’s Degree in Nursing and a Bachelor’s Degree in Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. She is certified in maternalnewborn nursing. Prior to joining the firm in 1996, she worked as a registered nurse in the operating room specializing in ENT (ear, nose throat), as a head nurse on an antepartumpostpartum unit, as an obstetrical clinical instructor in the university setting, and as a medicalsurgical staff nurse.
