David is an experienced corporate and commercial lawyer and provides support to the corporate team.
David has extensive experience of corporate legal issues and transactions including working on public and private mergers and acquisitions, corporate reorganisations, IPOs and secondary fundraisings on the public markets, corporate governance and corporate compliance issues as well as a broad range of commercial contracts and related issues.
David has worked both in private practice and in-house, where he worked with the Virgin Money legal team on projects which included the sale of Northern Rock plc to Virgin Money by H.M. Government and the sale of Northern Rock’s branch in the Republic of Ireland to permanent TSB, as well as a broad range of general commercial work.
David’s role as a professional development lawyer involves updating the corporate team on legal developments which affect their respective practice areas and updating and developing legal documentation. David is closely involved in preparing and delivering training both internally and externally.
David edits the firm’s monthly Informed Counsel Newsletter which includes articles on a broad range of topics which may interest in-house lawyers and contributes to the monthly Company Update section, which updates in-house lawyers particularly on corporate and commercial legal developments.
