Andrew is an employed barrister (former solicitor) and a Managing Associate specialising in commercial dispute resolution, enforcement and insolvency work. Andrew is also part of the Senior Management Team of the firm's OnShore paralegal offering based in Plymouth where he is the senior embedded lawyer within OnShore's 30 strong Recovery + team which undertakes volume debt recovery and associated work for some of the firm's largest clients. Andrew is also the senior embedded lawyer within OnShore's newly founded Litigation Support and 'Lawyers on Demand' offerings. 

Andrew is a very experienced dispute resolution lawyer and is also a qualified civil and commercial mediator. He began his career in the City where he gained experience of managing large paralegal teams engaged in large international litigation projects before working in New York, in-house and eventually re-qualifying as a barrister in 2010. At the independent Bar Andrew specialised in bankruptcy and insolvency work, property litigation, commercial contractual disputes and debt and enforcement work. He built up a reputation as a commercially astute, experienced and forthright advocate and advisor in the High Court, County Court and various Tribunals for clients across a wide range of sectors but especially those in the in the financial and retail and consumer sectors. Andrew has specific experience in acting for large companies in claims brought against them by consumers in which reputational issues arise and is particularly aware of the unique problems that such claims give rise to. 

Andrew's considerable and varied dispute resolution experience and technical ability, combined with his management background make him ideally suited to his role within the Recovery + team where he oversees the team's work and ensures that it delivers consistently high quality and commercially intelligent legal advice and work product to the firm's clients. 


  • Centrica plc – on measures to both prevent and ameliorate losses to the business arising out of the activities of phoenix companies
  • Various Trustees in Bankruptcy and Liquidators – on and appearing as an advocate in a variety of contentious insolvency matters arising out of personal and corporate insolvencies
  • Multi-national FMCG manufacturer – on setting up and managing a large team of paralegals engaged in the review of millions of pages of documents for disclosure in international consumer protection litigation
  • Various – whilst at the independent Bar, advising on and appearing as an advocate in claims involving inter alia allegations of harassment of customers by utility companies, mortgage and rent possession claims, general commercial disputes, landlord and tenant disputes, complicated debt claims and the enforcement of judgments.
