Ana Jara is a trial attorney who helps companies and individual clients navigate complex business and criminal litigation in federal, state, and administrative forums.

She has defended clients in contentious construction defect cases, land use disputes, and personal injury litigation.  In doing so, she frequently works with consulting and testifying experts on a variety of issues, including environmental, industry norms, and damages.  She has experience conducting onsite inspections with civil engineering experts, worked with physician experts on drafting their reports, and reviewed other expert testimony and methodology in preparation for trial.

In addition, Ana has litigated a diverse range of contract and insurance cases ranging from indemnification and contribution issues to executive employment matters to disputes between buyers and sellers.  Ana also has helped clients with other litigation concerns.  She has represented a defense contractor in employment discrimination matters, individual and corporate clients in state and federal Medicaid and Medicare fraud investigations, and individuals in insider trading litigation.

Prior to joining Womble, Ana served as a law clerk for the Honorable Carol Ann Dalton of the D.C. Superior Court, where she examined complex mental health cases and reviewed expert medical testimony.  Before that, Ana completed a fellowship with the D.C. Office of the Attorney General as a civil litigation trial attorney, where she defended tort claims brought against the city.
