Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) has once again been recognised in The Times Best Law Firms 2023 report. The guide showcases the top legal practices across England, Wales and Scotland.
WBD was commended for its expertise in employment; planning and infrastructure; and private client work, in particular inheritance and succession.
The Times highlights WBD's work in the clean energy sector, having advised SeAH Wind on a deal to supply turbine foundations for the Hornsea 3 wind farm, the world’s largest offshore wind farm.
WBD's expertise in freeports is also noted in the report, with the firm acting for Plymouth City Council on the establishment of the Plymouth and South Devon freeport, and regarding agreements between the freeport company, the rating authority and the owners of designated tax sites within the freeport.
Last year WBD launched its UK freeports business sentiment report which gathered the views from over 500 businesses on the freeports locations announced by the Government in 2021. The report features commentary from major organisations including The British Ports Association, Brittany Ferries, Lloyds Bank, Peak Resources, Wilton Universal Group, Catapult, and further education providers.
Ranking in the UK's top 20 law firms, WBD provides legal expertise in eleven key sectors from across seven offices in the UK and 23 offices in the US.
