Womble Bond Dickinson (WBD) is to host drinks reception tonight (26 June 2019) alongside a number of sponsors for the Leeds Manufacturing Festival.
The festival is being organised by the Leeds Manufacturing Alliance and supported by West & North Yorkshire Chamber of Commerce and looks to bring greater awareness of depth of career opportunities that exist within manufacturing in the region.
The drinks reception will be an evening of networking at RSM's Central Square offices in Leeds. It will see manufacturers from across the city of Leeds to network, collaborate including Yorkshire based manufacturers who are lined up to talk about the challenges they have faced in the industry.
Keynote speakers include, John Gyngell and Christian Townsley of North Brewing Co and CEO Jonathan Lill of Bright Blue Foods.
Vicky McCombe, Construction and Engineering Lawyer, commented:
"Whilst it is clear that the public perception is that manufacturing provides enormous value to the UK economy it is also clear from talking to our manufacturing clients that the challenge with the 'skills gap' continues to be one of the key issues facing the sector as is the need to encourage more girl school leavers into 'STEM' careers so we are delighted to be supporting the Leeds Manufacturing Festival which is clearly looking to help address both of these issues."
WBD has spent decades providing support and assistance to businesses in the UK and the US, operating across a wide range of manufacturing sub-sectors on legal and regulatory matters affecting their domestic and international operations. The team comprises specialist lawyers who have a wealth of expertise in the manufacturing sector.
