A total of £25,000 was raised earlier this week (Monday 21 January) at the “Mental Health Pub Quiz" in aid of local health charities Leeds Mind and The Market Place. WBD was part of the organising committee for the inaugural event and provided a team of volunteers as well as entering its own team.

The funds raised will be split equally between Leeds Mind, a leading independent mental health charity that supports people achieve positive mental health and The Market Place, which provides a range of free and confidential services including one-to-one support, counselling and group work aimed at young people.

Paula Dillon, Partner and Board sponsor for Diversity and Inclusion at WBD, commented:

"We're delighted to have partnered with other Leeds businesses to organise this event and are thrilled to have raised such a tremendous amount for Leeds Mind and The Market Place and for the vital work they both deliver in our community every day."

At WBD, we strongly believe that successful businesses have a responsibility to support their local communities. We take health and wellbeing in the workplace seriously and have a range of initiatives in our Leeds office to help our staff have a healthy mind and body. As a firm we work hard to raise awareness around mental health and are committed to supporting staff who suffer from this by giving them vital access to a range of services."
