Come join us for our next Public Sector Masterclass on 14 November 2019 in Leeds. This edition follows previous successful procurement-specific masterclasses held in November 2018 and March 2019. While this next session will still cover procurement and State aid, it will also incorporate topics of wider relevance to the public sector. The event will be hosted by our nationally recognised procurement and construction teams.
This masterclass will cover key current public sector issues, including:
- Public Sector collaboration: How and when contracting authorities can work together without undertaking a public procurement
- State aid and grants: How to give and receive grants whilst remaining compliant with State aid rules
- Construction 101: An overview of what you need to think about when preparing documentation for a construction project, including different contracting structures, standard form building contracts, typical risk issues, the construction legislation and modern methods of construction
- The end of PFI?: Practical strategies and considerations when assessing options for end of life PFI contracts including hand back, extension, variation, termination and expiry.
The sessions will provide you with clear, pragmatic and practical guidance, including 'real life' examples and case law.
Please note there is a limit of two places per organisation.
Registration and refreshments will be from 8.30am with the session commencing at 9am. Following the seminar there will be lunch and the opportunity to network.
The masterclass series has been specifically created for professionals and lawyers working in the public sector, including universities and colleges.
