Womble Bond Dickinson would be delighted if you could join us for our PFI / PPP Handback Masterclass. The masterclass will be run in association with Aura a multi-disciplinary building consultancy with a highly experienced PFI team with over 70 years of combined expertise in health, education and community PFI contracts and Amberside finance specialists, who have recently been appointed by IPA to provide consultancy support to their PFI Contract Management Programme.
The masterclass series has been specifically created for procurement professionals and lawyers working in the public sector including central government, local government, NHS, universities, schools, academies and colleges.
Both the Scottish Futures Trust and National Audit Office recently noted that in some instances contracting authorities should start to plan for expiry of their PFI contracts up to 7-8 years in advance of it occurring. Authorities should therefore now start to consider how they can assess and effectively manage risk and exploit any opportunities that arise.
The series will be run by our nationally recognised Projects and Procurements team in collaboration with Aura and Amberside. Each session is a combined legal, technical and financial masterclass with expert speakers from each field.
- The first masterclass taking place on Tuesday 23 March at 12:00 – 13:00, will focus on the education sector including issues arising from schools converting to academies and decarbonisation
- The second masterclass taking place on Thursday 25 March at 9.30 – 10.30, will focus on the healthcare sector including driving value from expiry and decarbonisation.
The sessions will provide you with clear and practical guidance, including sector specific insight on key issues and a methodology for addressing those issues.
Following the end of the seminar there will be 30 minutes of Q&A with the speakers.
Please feel free to forward this invitation onto any colleagues who you think would benefit from attending this event. Please note this seminar is intended for public sector organisations only.
