Womble Bond Dickinson's Newcastle-based corporate team has been shortlisted for five awards at Insider's 2024 North East Dealmakers Awards.
The awards honour the region's top professional advisory firms - and the individuals working within them - which have worked on transactions involving North East businesses during the qualifying period.
WBD, its corporate lawyers and the deals it advised on, are nominated in five separate categories:
- Corporate Law Firm of the Year
- Corporate Lawyer of the Year: David Ridley and Oliver Rickett
- Emerging Dealmaker of the Year: Oliver Rickett and Becky Brook
- Deal of the Year (sub £5m): Investment in Newcells Biotech by Northern VCTs, North East Innovation Fund and North East Venture Fund
- Deal of the Year (£5m - £20m): Investment in MRO+ Solutions Group by NVM Private Equity
The winners will be announced at the gala dinner event taking place at the Hilton Newcastle Gateshead on 26 September.
