The Prince’s Trust helps change the lives of young people.

We are proud to have built a strong relationship with The Trust, supporting the charity on both a national and regional level.

The charity's ethos mirrors our commitment to supporting disadvantaged individuals in the areas of employment, education and entrepreneurship.

The Trust helps young people between the ages of 13-30 years to transform their lives. It's focus it to ensure that every young person has the chance to succeed. It gives practical and financial support to young people developing key workplace skills such as confidence and motivation.

Between May 2013 and December 2016 we raised over £250,000 for The Trust, in addition to the wide range of volunteering activity and mentoring provided by our staff for young people who benefit from The Trust’s support.

The Trust celebrated its 40th anniversary in 2016 and we are proud to be continuing to develop and grow our support.

A central date in the Womble Bond Dickinson calendar is our annual Clay Shoot which includes an auction to raise money for the charity. The most recent event, held in the historic Lambton Estate in County Durham and raised £45,000, the most we’ve raised through this event to date.

We are also proud sponsors of The Prince’s Trust Red Ball in Bristol which raised over £64,000 in 2016 to help young people in the South West get into work.

Million Makers

As part of our corporate charity partnership with The Prince's Trust, we are supporting the 2017-18 entrepreneurial fundraising challenge, Million Makers.

The Million Makers challenge sees teams from various companies and organisations across the country pitch their business plans to a Dragons’ Den style panel, in order to secure an initial investment of £1,500 from The Prince's Trust.

Business plans are then implemented and promoted with the ultimate aim of turning the seed funding into a minimum of £10,000 profit which will be used to help disadvantaged young people in the UK to turn their lives around.

The hard work and perseverance of the Womble Bond Dickinson Million Makers team has meant that that we not only exceeded this target but more than doubled it to £21,668.50.
